Not many Templestowe dentists are open from Monday to Saturday, but we are. Being conveniently located on the corner of Beverly Hills Drive and Blackburn Road, just 200 metres across the road from the Pines Shopping Centre, we offer off street parking for your convenience. You don’t need a referral to book an appointment and if you’re having a dental emergency we will assist you.
While we welcome all health fund members, we are preferred providers for BUPA, Medibank Private and HCF, which means that if you’re using this provider you can expect to enjoy the most benefits.

Our dentists at The Pines Dental Centre have the academic qualifications and practical experience to ensure that you receive exceptional service and treatment. We are registered with national smile.com.au network. All our dentist’s have undergone stringent quality approval checks and are continuously monitored. Additionally, each Dentist is registered with AHPRA, the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency. Dr Nayak worked in Zimbabwe as a Deputy Director of Dental Services at the Ministry of Health. During this stay he completed his certificate in Cosmetic Dentistry at the University of Pretoria, South Africa in 1993. In 1995, Dr Nayak moved to New Zealand and completed his postgraduate studies in Restorative Dentistry at the University of Otago.
Since moving to Australia in 2001, Dr Nayak setup the Pines Dental Centre.
Dr Nayak has extensive experience and interest in Endodontics, Restorative and Cosmetic Dentistry. Dr Nayak is regularly involved in teaching Melbourne University Undergraduate Dental students and continues to maintain affiliations with a number of Dental societies.
Importantly, Dr Nayak has the unique ability to put patients at ease quickly. He is a gentle, caring and technically precise clinician and invests the time to explain the nature of Dental treatment. Dr Kiran is a family man, who enjoys gardening, sport and travel.
His sense of humor is highly appreciated by his patients. His hobbies include rock climbing, mountaineering, squash and fishing. He is also a qualified rock climbing instructor and trained mountain Leader.
Embarking on her professional journey in Swan Hill, Dr. Rachael garnered extensive clinical experience while administering a diverse array of dental treatments. Her dedication to mastering her craft led her back to Melbourne, where she served in both public and private dental clinics across Blackburn, Kew, and Rosanna. Dr. Rachael’s passion for mentorship shone through as she assumed the role of a clinical supervisor for dental students at her alma mater, the University of Melbourne.
For nearly 15 years, Dr. Rachael fostered a sterling reputation and cultivated a loyal patient base in Blackburn. Now, she embraces a new chapter, expanding her reach to multiple locations to better serve a broader community.
Dr. Rachael’s devotion to family-oriented care is evident in her approach, as she strives to create a welcoming and educational atmosphere in the dental chair. She works seamlessly with children, making their dental experience enjoyable and stress-free.
She has a keen interest in alleviating dental anxiety and excels in providing a soothing experience tailored to each patient’s needs.
Continuing her pursuit of excellence, Dr. Rachael remains committed to ongoing training and education. She believes in delivering high-quality dental care through comprehensive treatment plans that emphasize prevention and minimally invasive techniques, personalized to each individual. With her compassionate and gentle demeanor, Dr. Rachael is dedicated to introducing her patients to comfortable, modern dentistry, ensuring a positive dental future for all.
Dr Eer is currently working both in private clinics and community clinics across greater Melbourne. Jocelyn has a special interest in preventive and cosmetic dentistry, and is particularly good working with anxious patients.
Outside of dentistry, Dr Eer enjoys playing badminton, table tennis and cooking. She also has a passion for travelling and has undertaken dental volunteer work in Vanuatu and Cambodia. Further, Dr Eer currently volunteers teaching English to refugees and migrants with AMES Australia. With a Malaysian Chinese background, she is also able to converse in basic Mandarin.
Sue has a very calming and friendly nature and has ability to put patients at ease during appointments. In her spare time she enjoys cooking, traveling with family and friends.

All health fund members are welcome. However, we are preferred providers for BUPA, Medibank Private and HCF.
If you are covered under Medibank, BUPA or HCF, you will receive the highest benefit when claiming at our clinic.
